Guided Collectibles: A Veteran and His Wife Turning History into Opportunity

This wasn’t a lifelong dream. It wasn’t something we planned for years. Guided Collectibles was born out of necessity and the challenge of building something real—something that could help others while also giving my smart, beautiful wife a chance to do more than just a starter job. Nothing against starter jobs at all, but we knew we were capable of more.

We’ve been digging through auctions and estate sales for over 16 years, not because we had to, but because we love history and the incredible things people leave behind. There’s something amazing about holding a piece of the past in your hands—whether it’s a vintage stein from West Germany, a limited-edition coin, or fine porcelain that has traveled through generations. What started as a love for history turned into something bigger: a way to help others discover rare finds and maybe even preserve a little wealth along the way.

My wife and I have been together for over 19 years, and in that time, we’ve traveled the world, seen incredible things, and learned a lot. We wanted to share that experience, our stories, and the treasures we’ve found. But we also realized something—there aren’t many places where people can truly be themselves while learning about topics that matter. That’s why Guided Collectibles isn’t just about selling collectibles—it’s about creating a space where people can explore, learn, and collect.

Like what we do? Support us by picking up something from our shop. If collecting isn’t your thing, no worries—we also create custom items, from laser-engraved photos to unique gifts.

On a budget but still want to support us? That’s cool too. Instead of a “buy me a coffee” donation, why not grab something small but meaningful? Maybe an occupied Japan figurine, a vintage beer stein, or a bullion coin. Either way, you’re part of what we’re building.
